Respectful: A carer should respect the dignity, preferences, and autonomy of the person they care for.

Empathetic: A carer should be able to understand and share the feelings of the person they care for and have the ability to show compassion and kindness. A carer should be able to connect with the person on an emotional level and help them cope with any challenges they face.

Reliable: A carer should be dependable and trustworthy and be able to perform their duties on time and in a consistent manner. A carer should also be flexible and adaptable to any changes or emergencies that may arise.

Cheerful: A carer should be positive and optimistic. A carer should not be gloomy or pessimistic, but rather bring joy and happiness to the person they care for. A carer should be able to make the person smile and laugh and brighten up their day.
