At Hands Down The Best, we believe support should feel personal, respectful, and genuinely human. Based in Hervey Bay, we provide compassionate NDIS and Aged Care services that empower people to live with independence, dignity, and confidence.

We understand that every person has their own story, strengths, and goals — and that great support begins with truly listening. That’s why we take the time to get to know each client, building relationships based on trust, kindness, and consistency.

Our team is made up of carefully selected support workers who bring heart, professionalism, and positivity to every interaction. They are chosen not only for their skills, but for their empathy, patience

Founders Message 

Hands Down The Best was created from a place of love, loss, and deep gratitude. In 2012, Lena and I experienced a family tragedy that changed the course of our lives. During that time, we were surrounded by compassion, understanding, and support — the kind of care that holds you together when everything feels like it’s falling apart. That experience shaped us. It reminded us how powerful genuine human connection can be, and it planted the seed for what would one day become this service.

It took time, healing, and the strength of our large family and wider community to find our way forward. But with their encouragement behind us, we built something meaningful — a service grounded in empathy, dignity, and respect.

The name Hands Down The Best has its own special story. One Father’s Day, my son made a screen‑printed t‑shirt with his little hand and the words “hands down greatest dad.” That moment stayed with me. It was simple, heartfelt, and full of love — exactly what we wanted our service to represent. When it came time to choose a name, it felt perfect.

Every day, we meet people facing challenges — some heartbreaking, some overwhelming, all deserving of care and kindness. Life is already difficult, and for those living with disability or navigating ageing, it can feel even heavier. Being able to walk beside people, lighten that load, and help improve their quality of life brings us immense joy.

Hands Down The Best exists because we believe in compassion, connection, and showing up for others. We believe in appreciating each day, valuing each breath, and supporting people through the moments that matter most.
